Important: SBB Preview is the testing version of the SBB Mobile app where new and innovative functions and features for potential future inclusion in the primary app are experimented with.

• The fundamental functionalities for checking timetables and purchasing tickets for journeys across Switzerland are consistent between SBB Preview and SBB Mobile. The Preview app is distinguishable by its grey theme.

The highlight of the app is the redesigned navigation bar, which includes the following key sections:

• Plan:
  • Plan your journey by directly requesting a timetable or by setting your current location as either the origin or destination, viewable on a map.
  • Purchase tickets for Switzerland in just two clicks, with automatic application of your travelcards stored on your SwissPass.
  • Benefit from cost-effective travel options like supersaver tickets or Saver Day Passes.
• Trips:
  • Your purchased tickets will be saved in the 'Journeys' section.
  • Even without a purchase, you can manually save your journey details within the timetable.
  • Receive real-time notifications about delays, disruptions, and interchange details as you travel door to door.
• EasyRide:
  • Effortlessly travel across the entire GA Travelcard network by checking in and commencing your journey.
  • EasyRide calculates the appropriate fare based on your traveled routes and charges you accordingly afterward.
• Tickets and travelcards:
  • Show your public transport travelcards digitally through SwissPass Mobile.
  • Access an overview of both active and expired tickets and travelcards associated with your SwissPass.
• Profile: Conveniently manage personal settings and access customer support.

Data security and authorizations:

• Location: Activation of GPS is necessary for finding the nearest stop when planning journeys originating from your current location or when checking nearest stops in the timetable.
• Calendar and e-mail: Save connections to your calendar or share them via email; read and write permissions are required for importing connections into your calendar.
• Access to the camera: The app needs camera access for direct photo capture in SBB Preview, specifically intended for the personalized touch timetable. Permission will be requested.
• Internet access: Internet connection is essential for obtaining timetable information and accessing ticket purchasing options.
• Memory: SBB Preview needs access to device memory to support offline functions such as storing stop lists, connections history, and purchased tickets while saving app-specific settings.
